Call for Nominations

The Nominating Committee is seeking motivated individuals interested in serving on the Board of Directors for a two-year term. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact the Nominating Committee by midnight May 8, 2012.

The NEOC Board recommends that the membership strive to elect a board with the following characteristics:

• Representative of the active membership, including diversity of geographic location, age, and gender; and including representation by families, elite orienteers, and recreational orienteers.  
• Expertise that will guide NEOC in fulfilling its mission, and the Board of Directors in fulfilling its fiduciary obligations.

There are five positions open this June: the three whose terms expire this year, plus two vacant positions. One of the three incumbents is seeking re-election. We are looking for at least four more qualified candidates.

Elections will be held at the Annual General Members Meeting which will be on June 10, 2012 in conjunction with the annual picnic and orienteering at Houghton's Pond in Milton, MA.

All Club members will be sent the candidates' statement/bio and a proxy form. These will be mailed (USPS) on May 21, 2012.
